Paisajes de Luz | Landscapes of Light
Ryan Griffin creates both a visual artwork and a performance piece projected onto the architectural facades lining the Scottsdale Waterfront. Using digital projection mapping and a graphic pen tablet to paint his imagery, he produces a continuously unfolding artwork that evolves live on the Friday and Saturday nights of Canal Convergence.
Addressing a different theme on both nights, he incorporates visual elements from the past, present, and future of life in the desert and its connection to the water canals—a source of physical and spiritual renewal for the Sonoran Desert.
Griffin sees his work as a new kind of story-telling, one that pulls the audience into the artist’s process and creative thinking over the course of an evening.
