Drip, Dribble, Drop
Melissa Martinez (Tempe, AZ) previously worked as a preparator for SMoCA and an exhibition designer for Heard Museum, before making art full time. Her work has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions at dozens of Arizona galleries and museums. Martinez explores the beauty and oddity of simplicity in her work—inviting viewers to pause and enjoy moments that can often pass you by in a busy, multitasking world.
In Drip, Dribble, Drop, Canal Convergence attendees are invited to frolic in a spring shower raining down from the sculptural installation of over sixty white umbrellas above the Marshall Way Bridge.
