Our Governing Board

Together with seven full time staff members, volunteers serve on the Scottsdale Public Art Advisory Board [SPA Advisory Board] to oversee the program. SPA Advisory Board is the governing body that makes decisions regarding artist selection, art concepts, and budgets. SPA Advisory Board reports only to the Scottsdale Cultural Council Board.

SPA Advisory Board meets monthly to discuss and vote upon important issues related to the Scottsdale Public Art Program. The agenda for the monthly public meeting is posted (at least 24 hours in advance) in three locations:

1) Scottsdale City Hall bulletin board & press room (3939 Civic Center Plaza)
2) Inside the Scottsdale Center for the Arts Atrium next to the Center Conference Room (7380 E. Second Street)
3) Posted via fax to the Citizen Service Center (Scottsdale & McDowell Road)

Minutes are generated from the discussion during the monthly SPA Advisory Board meetings. Minutes are distributed to the SPA Advisory Board members and must be voted upon by the SPA Advisory Board for final approval.
