Scratch-Block Workshop with Ted Uran

Scottsdale Public Art presents a two-part workshop where participants will carve a design into a tile-shaped mold of stabilized sand to make an original cast iron tile. Then on Saturday, Nov. 5, the molds will be filled with molten iron at Scottsdale Community College during the Western Cast Iron Art Alliance conference’s production pour.

Participants may attend the iron pour at Scottsdale Community College, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. to watch while the molten iron is poured into their molds. They will be available to pick up the following week, after they have been sand-blasted and any sharp bits ground away.

Tickets $15 (20 person limit)
