Description

Completed: 1998

Media: ceramic, glazed tiles. 24" x 40'

Janet Blum and Dyan Cavalli collaborated with Coronado high school students on a project to instill hope into the surrounding community. A mural was conceived for the Eldorado Center, a Boys and Girls club, promoting the center's mission to provide a positive environment for youth. Each high school student created their own ceramic tiles which were assembled together encouraging other youths in the ease of transition into adulthood. Many tiles incorporated quotations and inscriptions in their designs.
