Description This festival will feature hundreds of artists will come together to celebrate the first annual Via Colori ("path of color," or "colorful path") event, by creating scores of large-scale masterpieces in chalk, directly on the pavement of Scottsdale Arts District. Via Colori's unique combination and creativity will bring together a variety of community members in order to help beneficiary charities Arizonans for Children, Devereaux and the Scottsdale Cultural Council, while celebrating the City of Scottsdale's recent designation as one of America's 100 Best Communities for Young People. We are currently seeking volunteer artists for this event! To become a part, please see the Volunteer Opportunity section below. Volunteer Opportunity Throughout the Festival, approximately 120 local and national volunteer artists will work in 10'x 10', 6'x 6' and 4'x 4' spaces delineated throughout the festival grounds. Signature Artist Sue Chenoweth will complete a work in a 12’x12’ space delineated on the Festival map. Artists will be working with soap based chalk to draw directly on pavement, inspired by the tradition of Italian street artists. Thousands of attendees and hundreds of sponsors will participate and enjoy the art and atmosphere created by the artists. To participate, please sign up through www.ViaColori.com. You will be assigned to a square in the size of your choosing ( 4'x4', 6'x6' or 10'x10' ) based on availability.
